Pressure Cooker DemonstrationsFor the fourth year in a row Laura Pazzaglia, of hip pressure cooking, is partnering with manufacturers and local cookware stores to share the joys of pressure cookery.

This year’s demo tour will be combined with the launch of Pazzaglia’s new book “Hip Pressure Cooking: Fast, Fresh & Flavorful” (St. Martin / Griffin, Sept. 2, 2014) – the demo give cooks a chance to taste recipes from the cookbook and to thumb through an advance copy.

The two-hour demo will show the pressure cookers in action. Pazzaglia will cook an Eggplant Spread, BBQ Pork Ribs with Warm Bean & Spinach Salad (one pot), and 3-ingredient flans. While cooking, she’ll show and explain the pressure cooker’s safety features, share her best tips and answer questions.

Also, demo attendees  will get a handout with instructions for the recipes made during the demo (two are from the up-coming cookbook)- these handouts will not be posted online.

Here is the schedule – additional dates will be added in the next two weeks, so come back to check for updates.

Can’t make it?

While she’s in New York Pazzaglia is also available to do a pressure cooker demonstration in your school, company or private cooking space, including restaurants or clubs – contact her directly  for details.

Don’t live in the New York area? Don’t despair! We will either film a demo or produce a video of the recipes shown at the demos later this year.

Ask your local cookware store to do a pressure cooker demo – they  may  have a person who can do it. Or, if you want a hip pressure cooking demonstration, let the store’s manager know. They can work with me and a manufacturer to make the arrangements- Pazzaglia can fly from Italy to demo at your location at any time.

  1. Laura, I just left Zabar’s — I was so thrilled to see you were coming to town, and so sad to see that your visit coincides exactly with my vacation. I’ll be gone the entire time! I would have loved to come out and thank you in person for all the inspiration I’ve gotten from your site. I don’t frequent your site as often as I used to when my relationship with pressure cooking was young, but I still refer to it often. Have a great time while you’re here!

    1. Oh, thank you for your kind words, Helen. Have a great vacation!

      Ciao,
