    is there device that is design to measure the temperature inside the pressure cooker? no wired device can work and how do they do quality control on the pressure cooker?

    There are data logging thermometers. Drop one into the pot, then once the cook is done, transfer the data to a computer and analyse it to your heart’s content. You will need one that will handle being submerged as well as coping with both the temperature and pressure. You can get them, but they don’t come cheap. I know. I looked into them when I first got interested in pressure cookers. I am pretty sure Laura has one. That’s how she can report on the actual temperature in her reviews.

    As for quality control in the factory, they probably use modified lids with a passthrough for the wiring – not hard to do if you have lots of spare lids hanging around. To test the lids, just have a modified base.
