I have never heard of it. I had a quick search with Google and found what you are talking about.
I will say two things:
1. I am wary of devices that “replace all your other gadgets”. (a) They rarely live up to the hype and (b) if they do, when they break you lose everything.
2. Many companies that jump on a bandwagon are pure marketing. Getting spares let alone service can be quite problematic. And I assure you, sooner or later you will need spares. If nothing else, gaskets are consumable items on pressure cookers.
