    New to InstaPot and the recipe in the book for Red Wine Stewed Pears by Laura says to “Turn the het on to high and when the pan reaches high pressure, lower the heat to the minimum…”

    There is no HEAT setting when pressure cooking for the Ultra InstaPot. So what options exist?


    This line is a hold over from cooktop pressure cookers that Laura also writes for. Clearly the copy editors missed it when when inserting the recipe into the InstaPot cookbook.

    Simply set the InstaPot to high pressure and cook for the recommended time.
